Back to School with Artesprix
This summer, I’ve been exploring some fantastic art activities that I think would be a hit in any classroom! One of my favorites involves a magical transformation using sublimation markers Artesprix and an iron. Here’s how it works:
Show the Process: I start by drawing something with a regular marker and attempt to iron it—only to reveal it doesn’t work because those markers aren’t sublimation markers. The excitement kicks in when I switch to the “special markers” and demonstrate the real magic of transferring the drawing!
Student Participation: While I handle the ironing (it’s too hot for little hands), students use the worksheet to color with sublimation markers. They get to draw two images as there is two sides of their bags, which makes it even more fun.
Classroom Setup: In smaller classes, students can witness the transformation right in the classroom. For larger classes, I take the bags home to iron and then bring them back covered with the tape so they can still experience the reveal!
Give this a try in your classroom—you’ll see some very excited faces and incredible art creations!
